Resource List for Further Learning
OTHER FORTE COMPOSER ACADEMY RESOURCES
As you may know, I have other educational content besides this course, like MIDI study packs and an in-depth course on Film Scoring for Beginners, and a number of educational articles, videos, and misc other content--especially on my Youtube channel. I am also planning to create more materials in the future based on the feedback and needs of my students.
ADDITIONAL RESOURCES FOR LEARNING
But there are also a TON of other great learning resources out there in the world wide webs to help you hone your skills, so be sure to check out some of the resources on this list for your continued study. These categories are not completely accurate (some channels for example, do more than just "composition and orchestration") but nevertheless, here are some of my favs:
COMPOSITION + ORCHESTRATION
David McCaulley - Youtube (score analysis videos--really great to see the score with the music and scene, and the commentary is good too.)
Guy Michelmore's youtube channel is super--he is charming, entertaining, and succinct. I hear great things about his courses/paid instruction at Thinkspace Education as well.
Bradfey - Youtube Film score analysis videos--more score breakdown gold.
Rimsky Korsakov Principles of Orchestration (PAID LINK)(Book)
Mike Verta (Youtube) (and courses)
Michael Whittaker - Youtube (also film and production stuff)
PRODUCTION, SOFTWARE, BUSINESS, FILM, PROCESS
Perspective: A forum for Film, TV, and Media Composers (Facebook Group)
Anne-Kathrin Dern (Youtube) - (super stuff - really great instruction on a wide range of things relating to media composing in particular)
Alex Pffeffer (Youtube - not just production)

Thanks so much for checking out the course and sharing your musical journey with me! Onwards and upwards!
